Reasons To Visit Southern Utah

Planning a Southern Utah vacation can be a great way of creating awesome family memories. Nature lovers will take a liking to this state because of its great natural landmarks and breathtaking views. What are some of the reasons to come to the state? Below are a few reasons to take a vacation to the state.

1. Beautiful Scenery

The Utah scenery is truely a site to see. There is just so much beautiful land in the state. Utah is a place filled with interesting rock formations, arches and canyons created from some very interesting geological situations.

There are also 5 National Parks which all show off a little of Utah’s natural beauty. So, be sure you keep your camera with you.

2. Great Fishing

The fishing in Utah is spectacular, and there are a ton of fishing areas to choose from. Spots like Lake Powell and Fish Lake are pretty interesting places to fish at. Visiting any one of these fantastic Utah lakes can make for a fantastic day.

3. Indian Sites

People have inhabited Utah for thousands of years, as a result there are many interesting indian sites. Fremont Indian State Park is considered the world’s largest ancient Fremont Indian village and contains a number of Indian hieroglyphics.

Another interesting indian artifact area is Hovenweep in the South Eastern part of the state. This place contains a large number of interesting ancient indian houses which you can walk directly up to. I love to learn about history, so these ancient sites have been a pretty fun spot for me.

4. Skiing and Snow Boarding

Utah is known for having great snow. In the winter time Utah turns into a paradice for skiers and snow boarders. There are a lot of great ski resorts to choose from.

Those are just a few reasons to visit the state, but you can’t fully appreciate the state without visiting it.
